PEI

Spent last night and tonight on PEI. Absolutely love it here. Have ridden less and just chilled a bit spending most of our time around New Glascow, Cavendish, Charlottetown and Summerside. Saw the obligatory Anne of Green Gables House and went for a lobster supper with Doug Macrae's uncle Sterling who joined us for dinner and gave us an impressive tour of his establishment. It is the largest lobster dinner company in PEI serving between 600 to 900 dinners a day. He has tanks of live lobsters and trucks in the water from the ocean and has it filtered, cooled and circulated. Quite the massive undertaking considering he is inland. Charlottetown is brimming with history being the place where Canada really began. Saw the spot where the Confederation fathers signed in 1867 and walked around just appreciating the architecture and island character. Saw Michelle (from Van Horne) and Darren and Maddison. They have a beautiful cabin just a minute from the beach and I understand why she looks forward so much to her summers. Enjoyed mussels and a BBQ with them. Off on the Confederation bridge again tomorrow for Nova Scotia.
