Cape Breton Nova Scotia

In serious motorcycle country now. We have hit the beginning of the Cabot Trail and people are here from all over to ride this route. Erik was itching to get the Triumph Tiger Explorer out on this road but we hit our first bout of miserable rain and by the time we pulled into Baddeck it was too late to taste any of the trail. The people we have conversed with over the last week have been all over Erik with questions about the Triumph and not bugging me so much about my Spyder. Serious bikers here! Since we hit Quebec the interest in how the Triumph performs has peaked. And he is liking it! Today everywhere we stopped people were asking Erik how he rated it compared to this bike, or that bike....
Tomorrow we take the ferry to Port aux Basques NFLD. Any one who might be considering this trip, it would be smart not only to pre-book this ferry (which we did do) but also to pre-book their accommodations ( oops) and we scrambled tonight finding something. The return ferry from St Johns is an overnight ferry and that one you should definitely book ahead, as sleeping berths are at a premium. Yes, we did. Photos are of Tatamagouche, a bald eagle in the tree outside Baddeck inn and the view from the inn.
